Dear AAC Community,
It is with great excitement that I welcome you to another academic year at the American Academy Casablanca (AAC). As both the IBDP Coordinator and a math teacher for the past seven years, I am proud to be part of a school that embraces the IB philosophy, which perfectly aligns with AAC’s mission to make the world a better place. At AAC, we believe in the power of inclusivity, and our IB program ensures that every child who walks through our doors has the opportunity to stretch their potential to the fullest.
One of the core strengths of the IB program is its holistic approach, designed to meet the diverse needs of our students. The Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS) program offers a wonderful platform for our students to engage with the community, express their creativity, and stay active. It’s inspiring to see how they take ownership of their growth through meaningful experiences. The Theory of Knowledge (TOK) component is equally powerful, as it challenges students to reflect on how we understand the world. This fosters independent, open-minded thinkers who are eager to search for truth and deepen their understanding.
For me, AAC is more than just a workplace—it’s home. With my own children attending the school, I naturally see every student here as part of my extended family. The holistic, rigorous nature of the IB program creates a healthy environment where both students and teachers invest in their learning. This shared commitment to honest, meaningful work is a source of immense pride for all of us. Together, we will continue to nurture a community of learners who are prepared to make a difference in the world.
Warm regards,
Mr. Wassif Benlarbi
