Parent-Teacher Conferences & Semester Kickoff
February begins with meaningful family engagement as AAC hosts Parent-Teacher Conferences on February 6. This important event allows families and teachers to discuss student growth, set goals, and prepare for the months ahead. At the same time, Semester 2 officially starts on February 2, giving students across all divisions a fresh opportunity to reset, refocus, and take on new academic challenges.
IBDP Academic Milestones & Enrichment EventsThe IBDP program enters a purposeful period this month. DP1 and DP2 students will sit for their Mock Examinations on February 10-11, an essential step in developing exam readiness. On February 12, IB students and staff will attend a special Hamlet film screening to deepen literary analysis and support curriculum learning. The MYP and DP community will conclude these academic events with a Photography Exhibition on February 13, celebrating creativity, reflection, and CAS achievement
Cultural Exchange & New Learning OpportunitiesAAC’s Middle School welcomes a visiting group of Chinese students for a week-long cultural exchange, offering shared classes, collaborative projects, and cross-cultural learning experiences. Grade 8 also begins a new Artificial Intelligence curriculum, focusing on ethical use and real-world application. Across all divisions, after-school activities continue for a short period, providing students with athletics, clubs, and creative opportunities before the Ramadan shift begins.
Community Celebrations & Schedule UpdatesFebruary also brings moments of joy and connection to campus, including AAC’s annual Valentine’s Day celebration. Following this, AAC will transition to its Ramadan schedule beginning February 18, with adjusted school hours from 9:00 AM to 2:40 PM. The school community looks forward to a month filled with learning, collaboration, and meaningful experiences as we prepare for the second half of the year.
